Shattered Dreams

Our dreams are sometimes shattered....small fractured pieces of our life .....scattered , never to be repaired or pursued. We feel that darkness prevails....but what we do not feel is.... the touch.
A hand resting lightly on our shoulder.....a hand of consolation.....feeding us strength.
Strength to build another dream, and if it should shatter once again, the strength to carry on.
Life teaches us to pursue the dream, but life does not promise you will attain it.
This life´s learning experience.

Which path

What is it that we consider to be most important...Material or spiritual progress?
Materialism creates greed and the need for more money, whilst spiritual progress teaches us to respect and value what we have and who we are.
Maybe there are some who believe they can balance the two, whilst other follow just one path.
Spiritual progress can be one of the richest things you can obtain. When we join the stars in the sky we cannot take our belongings with us, only the seeds of our spirituality.

Uncertainty

Within those minutes or hours of uncertainty we experience a sensation of being lost in a fog with no fixed direction. Stumbling mentally to clear our thoughts and continue our journey, securely and knowing which path to take. For all, a little uncertainty is not a bad thing, it´s normal, a time to look before we jump, a time to analyse before decisions are made. Prolonged uncertainty can wound our confidence creating insecurities and difficulties in whatever we do, leaving us unable and unsure of making decisions.
Permit those minutes of uncertainty as a safety net but do not allow them to take control or become a part of you.
Asha returns on Thursday.

The ultimate breath

In ultimate death if I search for myself I will not find it, and if you search fr yourselves you will not fin them. (His Holiness the Dalai Lama)
We hold great fear of the ultimate minutes of our lives, all the things we could or should have done. We question how we have lived our lives and what we could have done to repair things before our ultimate breath.
Words of love we have not offered to others and words of forgiveness we haven´t or recieved. After that ultimate breath we cannot change things, we were who we were. It is too late to search our souls and change things, so we should live a good and compassionate life now whilst we have breath.
Asha Sahana will return as normal on the 14th September, thank you for reading.

Why?

In the normal course of our lives we face death, old age, illness, natural tragedies and disasters that are beyond our control, causing great pain and sorrow...and loss of life.
Then why do we seek to create more pain and suffering in the world, why can we not respect another´s religion and allow them to practice in peace. (this does not include the fanatics)
Why is it that one country should be more powerful than another or one should be entitled to more dangerous weapons than the other.....We were not put on this earth to kill one another...what has happened to compassion and love for our fellow man?
Have we closed our hearts to these feelings? Love and compassion must find a way....always
