2010-new beginnings

2010, a new year, new beginnings, new resolutions, some obtainable ...others not.

It is a time of renewed hope, and if we carry hope in our hearts, then much can be achieved.

And if those without hope fall down, so an invisible hand will pick them up and light the flame of hope in their hearts.

A Betrayal of Confidence

At times the people we trust and help, let us down...the sudden realisation that one is not what they claimed to be, or somehow your help or assistance, was just a fraud but you did not see it.

We wonder at times like this how could we not have seen what event has happened. Yes we were blind to it....because we believed in that person, and now they are not the same person and you feel an anger festering inside, more at ourselves than at those who have betrayed our confidence.

Tread lightly, look not for revenge but answers. Cleanse the anger inside for this is harmful to our own Karma.

Blowing in the wind.

Will we always be who we are or or will we become someone new?, not to hide behind a mask but through understanding and growth. Are we content with who we are, or are we open to change? We are like flowers on the mountainside, able to flow with the wind.

Why

Why is a word we do not use often enough, ask ourselves why? as we demand more, as wars continue. Why?do some suffer and others not. Why? is an important word.

Light

As the sun shines down upon us so it lights our way, and when the sun fades

so the moon will rise to illuminate our darkness, and we will find our way.

At times, life is like a call on the wind,
We never know where it may blow us

Suffering

Suffering is part of life, all of us will suffer at some stage in life....when a loved one dies, or there is a tradegy close to us. We have to accept that at times we may suffer, but it is part of lifes great map. If we recognise this then with acceptance it will pass. However we must be careful not to suffer unduly, or feel that we are a victim.

It has been a long time since I posted, but I have been doing the final edits on a

book I have been writing, and the days just pass.

Seeds of Love

You will discover in life that the love you recieve

stems from the sowing of those very seeds of love so long ago.

Words

We should take care with our words and the tone in which they are uttered.

We must remember words can either heal or harm....and the choice is ours to make.

And if you think about it, the louder you are, the less you hear.

Quietness evokes a peace and serenity around us, it creates inspiration and time for thought.

We hear more of the world around us, words touch us deeper and we observe and see better.

Loudness breaks our thoughts, ruins our peace,
and blinds us to many of the beautiful things in the world.
I know which I prefer.

So this is Christmas

It has been a while since I last posted, Of course Christmas interrupts everything, and here in Spain it goes on for 2 weeks, but it was not only Christmas....for a long time I have been writing a book, and for a long time I have wanted to complete it, and I had felt tired, so to take a rest and finish what needed to be done. But it was not only that, this time of year makes me sentimental as it does with us all, but I watch all the shoppers ,I see the expensive plants and decorations put up around the streets, and I just thought...what about those who at war, those who are hungry without food, those dying without medicine, the homeless, the people and children that live and die in these situations. It is the season of goodwill , but at times we forget.

I wish all those unseen voices out there, peace, love and happiness for this year and always.

Insignificance

For those of us who feel that our lives are insignificant, we need to remind ourselves that that every action we take and every day that we live are significant , not only to ourselves but to others. We may not make history or become famous, but our time here has significance.

Exploration

If we do not yet know about life,

How can we know about death?

Confucious

There is a lot of truth in this saying, we are most of us afraid to die, we have no idea what death will bring us. We only know the end as we have seen it.

Our lesson from this saying is to explore life more, our reasons for being here and who we are. Perhaps then our fear of the unknown will disappear.

Hope

Everyone of us that walks the pathway of life needs hope, to carry them through the difficult times, to help us continue our journey. Hopes gives us the strength and desire within that allows us to continue to travel and battle through life.Without hope, we give up, become negative in thought and action. Hope and "Will" go hand in hand, in turn leading each other.

The unseen

Is it easier to believe in only what we see?and make judgement from that in front of us?
But doesn´t all that we see have an unseen side, a more valuable often unacknowledged other side? For example, a mother smiles at her child, we often miss the love behind the action, or what if someone consoles us when we are sad, the action of comfort we see but what we do not always see is that person absorbing and feeling our sadness.
Behind every thing we see lies a part unseen.

Thought

All that we are is the result of our own thoughts,

we are made up and consist of our own thoughts,

responsibility for our thoughts, for good or bad.

Is ours and ours alone.

If we are guided by pure thought,

Happiness follows us,

and remains with us.
