Memories are made of this

The wife of a friend I visited had the most beautiful orchids in her house and I watched as she collected the fallen flowers.

As she went to place them in the bin so I took them from her, ....the orchids were dying she explained...but still the fallen flowers were strong and beautiful...I placed them carefully in my glasses case and later placed them in a bowl of stones and candles, and they were truly beautiful. They continued to shine for several more days, afterwhich I pressed them in my favourite book...a memory of that day.

We are all of us dying at sometime in our life...but we also remain beautiful to the very end.

A pressed flower or a reminder of a special person are valuable things...memories are made of this.

Anger V Passion

Hidden anger eats away at us silently and destructively, destroying your friendships, relationships, memories and life. We have to learn to release it but in a way that will not cause grief and pain to anyone.

Write your anger away, direct it at whoever has created this anger within.....after you have filled your paper with words and expressions of anger.....destroy it...burn it or throw it into a stream or lake so that those angry words disappear and you are cleansed and free of those knots that strangled you inside.

When we feel angry we see red...Red makes us angry.....but not always ---red is a colour of love and intense passion. Passion and anger can tread a fine line...therefore we need to control our intense feelings of either these two, because sometimes they go hand in hand creating havoc. If we recognise when these emotions are excessive or obsessive, so we have control.

Sorry there have been no entries recently as I am travelling at the moment but will continue to post, so please keep visiting. I am collecting ideas for my book and therefore any comments you wish to make will be much appreciated. There may be an absence of photos at this time as I wasn´t able to bring my laptop, due to security scares in UK and therefore am using internet cafes...I return to my normal place of work in 2 weeks, so stay with me

A Valued Gift

Love only offers itself, nothing more..nothing less, and love will take nothing from you...only itself. Love is not about possesion of someone...or being possesed by someone. Possesion is a word that does not exist in love´s book.

So shall love bring you pleasure and joy, so shall it bring pain and tears. When love arrives you sail apon a silver cloud, oblivious to all, but when love leaves so you shall feel the pain of Love´s long silver sword.

Love does not consist of belongings, money or power. Love is caring, sensitive porous and fragile.

And if you have found love,

then you are truly loved.

And to be truly loved is a priceless gift.

someone to watch over you

All of us have a guardian angel, that stays beside us, watching over and protecting us. In moments of distress or danger you will feel their presence.

That I would call for you secretly in my waking hour, you are beside me to take away my pain. For you are in my soul and offer your hand to me in times of need. In the darkness of the night you watch over me.....unobserved....but I feel your presence.

Invisibly you guide me through life, step by step. As I tread the pathways of destiny, so you travel with me, supporting me when I am tired, allowing me to lean on you, accompanying me along life´s uneven road.

Open Doors

A door that lies open, can lead to many different opportunities or experiences. It is this we should consider before passing through. Once you have passed through you will discover many choices and different paths, each leading to a new and different experience.

Not all may be good, but life is a learning curve, and experience and varying forms of life enable us to become whole. We learn from the bad and appreciate the good. Other experiences will flow through us like a sharp wind, imprinting thoughts and memories apon our very being.

A wrong path is never a wrong path, it´s the path that we chose to follow, and this is part of our destiny. However if you decide to close the door and not pass through for fear of the unknown, then life becomes stagnent, like a pond left uncleansed, its vitality and life forms become stale, but the cleansed pond gives new life, it becomes colourful and invigorating, as new plants grow and attract new forms of life.

Pass through and we are refreshed, we are offered new sensations and experiences, we grow with knowledge of unknown paths. Seek and you will find. copyright Asha sahana PMD 2006

Unreachable heights

Why are we such lovers of unreachable heights, what draws us to reach the summit of the mountain when the lowest parts are just as beautiful. Different but beautiful. Why do we feel the need to fly with the birds or reach the highest points. Why do we seek the unobtainable, we crave and search and run in circles, in order to capture the rainbow and the promise of what lies beyond. Happiness is available to us all at the lower heights, beauty is ours to behold in everything we see, if we want to see it. Life can be good without riches, love and to be loved is the greatest wealth of all. The stresses of reaching for the unobtainable that always appears to be within reach, is a battle that attacks our health, and without our health what enjoyment is there if we finally reach the top? No longer reach for the sky, come down and quench our thirst for that which may not exist for us. When we have health, love , friends and family, food on the table and water to drink, so we have reached the heights, without suffering for the unobtainable.

Take my hand

Touch is one of the most positive, caring , heartwarming confidence building actions that we can demonstrate.
To take hold of someones hand offers healing, love, guidance and security.
To take the hand of someone ill or in pain offers warmth and closeness, that person will no longer feel alone or afraid.
Holding the hand of a child offers them protection, love and guidance, the child feels secure, and all of us have our inner child.
Taking the hand of a friend in need, offers sympathy, reassurance and friendship.
To take the hand of your partner, cements your relationship, sends signals of love and trust.
And to take the hand of anyone in sadness and grief, provides strength and encouragement.
For when someone takes your hand, you sense all of these things. The power of touch is yours.
