A letter says a thousand things

The ease and ability to send e mails, direct without maybe days in transit is inviting and tempting we are all so busy and demands on our time leave us in a world where a 2 or 3 minute message is sufficient. many of us have lost our ability to write a letter, and therefore we do not recieve any. Whilst e mailing is essential for fast working messages, it does not have the same magic as a letter written in beautiful script, it is more personal and carries feeling, gone are the days of letters decorated with drawings or carrying words of love.
To recieve a letter you recieve more than words, you recieve the personality of the writer through their choice of paper and colour, maybe it carries an aroma of the writers perfume. The letter speaks to you before you even open it and when you do the words portray the writers thoughts and demonstrates that they have thought of you and made time in their lives to bring a light into yours, more than an e.mail ever can.
Letter writing is a gift we should never lose, a weight we welcome to carry with us.
No one is more lonely than someone who has never recieved a letter, and no one is happier than those who recieve their birthday greetings in an envelope.
Sit down and write someone a letter today
